JAMMU, Dec 15: Dr. Koshal Kumar Sharma, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), PCR Jammu, felicitated the officers and officials of PCR Jammu for their remarkable achievement by winning 17 medals in the Inter-Zone Police Sports Meet-2025, held from 11th to 13th December 2025 at Gulshan Ground, Jammu. A total of six officer/officials from PCR Jammu participated in the competition and brought laurels to the unit through their exceptional performances.
Dy.SP Sharat Chander Singh, who was nominated as Team Manager of Jammu Zone, participated in the 100-meter relay event and won a Gold Medal.
ASI (M) Rakesh Kumar of PCR Jammu secured a total of two medals, including one Gold Medal in the 4x400-meter relay and one Bronze Medal in the 400-meter race.
HC (M) Sahil Sharma delivered an outstanding performance by winning four medals: one Gold Medal in Archery, two Silver Medals in Penack Silat and Basketball, and one Bronze Medal in Weightlifting. In the closely contested Basketball final, Jammu Zone narrowly lost by just one point (66-67) against Armed Zone. Notably, HC (M) Sahil Sharma emerged as the highest scorer of the match with 23 points.
SgCt Avinash Anthal of PCR Jammu also won four medals, comprising one Gold Medal in Bodybuilding, one Silver Medal in Weightlifting, and two Bronze Medals in Boxing and Powerlifting.
SgCt Sumit Sharma achieved an impressive haul of four medals, including one Gold Medal in Boxing and three Silver Medals in Bodybuilding, Weightlifting, and Powerlifting. Constable Sunny Bhalwal of PCR Jammu secured two Gold Medals, winning Gold in Powerlifting and Gold in Kabaddi.
While congratulating the medal winners, SSP PCR Jammu Dr. Koshal Kumar Sharma, IPS, appreciated their dedication, discipline, and sportsmanship, and extended his best wishes for their future endeavors, encouraging them to continue working with full commitment, zeal, and excellence in service.
