| Panel Discussion on “Youth, the Constitution” held at GDC Ramgarh | | | early times report
Jammu, Dec 16: Government Degree College (GDC) Ramgarh organized a panel discussion on the theme “Youth and the Constitution” under the patronage of the Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Meeru Abrol, with the objective of sensitizing students about constitutional values, rights, and duties, and highlighting the pivotal role of youth in strengthening democratic institutions. The programme commenced with a welcome address by Prof. Brham Dutt, who warmly welcomed the expert speaker, faculty members, and students. In his address, Prof. Dutt emphasized the relevance of the Indian Constitution in contemporary society and highlighted the importance of engaging young minds in discussions related to constitutional awareness, democratic values, and responsible citizenship. He encouraged students to actively participate in such academic forums to better understand their rights and responsibilities as future nation builders. The panel discussion featured Dr. Anjana Raina from the Department of Political Science as the expert speaker. She enlightened the students on the spirit and significance of the Indian Constitution and emphasized the importance of constitutional awareness among young citizens. Dr. Raina elaborated on fundamental rights and duties and underscored the responsibility of youth in upholding democratic principles and constitutional morality. The programme was organized by Dr. Bisat Tariq and Mr. Darpan Malhotra and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who actively engaged in meaningful interaction and discussion during the session. The presence of faculty members further enriched the academic atmosphere of the event.
