RAMBAN, Dec 16: The Football Tournament organized by District Police Ramban commenced today at the District Police Lines (DPL) Ramban with the objective of promoting sports culture among the youth and encouraging their participation in healthy and constructive activities.
The tournament was inaugurated by ADC Ramban, Varunjeet Charak. The event was attended by Addl. SP Ramban Mujeeb-ul-Rehman, DySP Headquarters Ramban Viqar Younus Bhat, DySP Ops Manisha Kumari, SHO Ramban Inspector Vikram Singh and other officers of District Police Ramban.
The tournament is being organized under the overall supervision of SSP Ramban, Arun Gupta-JKPS, and is being coordinated by DySP DAR Ramban, Kuldeep Kumar, along with RI DPL Ramban, Inspector Sanjay Manhas. The staff from the District Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), Ramban, are actively assisting in the smooth conduct of the tournament.
After a series of competitive matches played today, Team FB Sports Banihal defeated Team FC Ramban, while Team Alphas Banihal defeated Team Green Hills Ghandari. Consequently, both teams have qualified for the Final, which is scheduled to be played tomorrow, on 17-12-2025, at DPL Ramban.
District Police Ramban continues to promote youth engagement through sports, aiming to channel youthful energy towards healthy activities, discourage drug abuse and other social evils, and strengthen positive community interaction. |
