Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 16: KB Public Higher Secondary School, Jammu, celebrated its grand Annual Function on Saturday, 6th December 2025, at the esteemed Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust, Channi Himmat. The event unfolded as a vibrant showcase of culture, creativity, and academic achievement. The school had the honour of welcoming the chief guest, MLA, Vikram Randhawa, whose distinguished presence added immense grace to the occasion. The celebrations were further elevated by the guest of honour, Dr. R. D. Sharma, former Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu. The programme commenced with the Lighting of the Lamp, performed by the respected guests, symbolising the dispelling of darkness and the ushering in of knowledge. This was followed by an eloquent Welcome Address by Ms. Sumaiya Mariyam, setting the tone for the day's celebrations. As a gesture of respect and gratitude, bouquets were presented by Principal, Nehreer Khan, and Chairman, Jenab Arshad Ali Choudhary, warmly welcoming the dignitaries. The Annual Report, presented by the esteemed Principal, Nehreer Khan, highlighted the school's exemplary achievements across all domains. The report proudly announced the inauguration of the new Administrative Block and the newly constructed school gate, both reflecting the institution's commitment to growth and innovation. Academically, the school celebrated exceptional board performances, with students achieving distinctions and top positions. In sports, the school earned remarkable honour as its students secured multiple Gold Medals at the National Level, reinforcing KBPS's legacy of balanced development. A vibrant cultural spectrum adorned the stage, featuring an energetic Gojri Dance, a soulful Qawwali, the thematic presentation "Incredible India" showcasing diverse regional dance forms, the English play "The Dear Departed" by Stanley Houghton, a melodious Mashup Song, and a spirited Bhangra performance. The event also included the ceremonious Prize Distribution, honouring excellence in academics and co-curricular achievements. Throughout the programme, dignitaries expressed heartfelt appreciation for the school's efforts. The Director, KBPS, Nazia Ahmed Choudhary, praised the unwavering dedication of teachers and students, assuring her continued support in every endeavour. The guest of honour, Dr. R. D.
