REASI, Dec 16: In its continued drive against drug trafficking, District Police Reasi apprehended two persons at PCP Nomain during routine checking.
The accused have been identified as Gopal Singh S/O Govind Ram R/O Purana Daroor, Tehsil Katra, District Reasi and Rabin Singh S/O Gian Singh R/O Loor Meer, Tehsil Pancheri, District Udhampur. During the checking, 3.08 grams of heroin was recovered from their possession.
Accordingly, a case FIR No. 339/2025 under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Katra and further investigation is underway.
The entire operation was carried out by SHO P/S Katra Insp. Ranjeet Singh Rao, under the close supervision of SDPO Katra Dr. Bhishm Dubey, JKPS and SP Katra Vipan Chandran, JKPS.
SSP Reasi Paramvir Singh, JKPS reiterates its commitment to eliminate the menace of drugs from the district and appeals to the public to cooperate by sharing any information related to drug trafficking with the police. |
