| J&K Christian work for communal harmony: Peter | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, MAY 19: The JTK Joint Chruches fellowship have denied that Christians of the that are forcing people to embrass Christianity in the state. To make it clear, joint churches fellowship in a press meet addressed by its president Rev. Showkat Peter said, if any individual has done wrong I the name of Christianity whole Christian community should not be blamed for its as he is already in police custody. He said he should be produced before law and action be taken against him under law of the land. He urged upon the general public and media in particular not b persuaded by some vested interested people, who are bent upon to create misunderstanding among people. He appealed the people to maintain peace and harmony in the state. Peter further said, Christian who are in minority in the state have contributed a lot as for as said, workers, education and health services are concerned. He said Christian are peace ling and have no bias towards any body. He said during the last 150 years since Christian missionary came to state worked faithfully for the development of the state. He said major contribution was in the field of education and a long list of the people have studied in these school which included former Chief Minster Dr. Farooq Abdullah but now converted any person in to Christianity.
