Early Times Report AKHNOOR, Dec 19: Senior BJP leader and District Development Council member Pandit Suresh Sharma today launched the black topping of road in Budhau Da Mohalla in Dhanna Jalada Panchayat of Block Chowki Choura at a cost of ?6 lakh from his DDC fund. The project addresses a long-standing demand of the residents, who had been facing difficulties in commuting due to the poor condition of the road. Speaking on the occasion, Suresh Sharma said, "Over the past five years, every development initiative in Chowki Choura and Maira Mandrian has been guided by the public's needs. Our focus remains on connecting every village and neighborhood with durable, paved roads." He further added, "Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Jammu & Kashmir is witnessing all-round development. Welfare schemes are reaching every section of society, ensuring that no one is left behind. Our endeavor is to provide basic facilities to all regions, and we will continue working with the same dedication." Residents expressed their gratitude to Suresh Sharma for fulfilling this long-pending demand. He assured them that the remaining portion of the road would be completed soon. The event was attended by former Sarpanch Harbans Lal Sharma, Radhey Shyam, Sikandar Pal, Naib Sarpanch Tarsem Lal, former Panch Mahendra Pal, Bittu Ram, Praveen Kumar, Sham Lal, Yashpal, Subhash Chandra, departmental officers, and other dignitaries. |
