Early Times Report

DODA, Dec 19: As part of the Sushasan Saptah (Good Governance Week), the District Administration Doda has launched a series of people-centric initiatives across the sub-divisions and blocks to promote transparent, accountable and responsive governance.
Under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh, Good Governance Week is being observed across the district with the objective of taking administration to the doorsteps of the people and strengthening last-mile service delivery.
At the Sub Divisional Headquarters Gandoh, Sushasan Sapthah was formally launched under the supervision of SDM Arun Kumar Badyal, focusing on efficient public service delivery, effective grievance redressal, public outreach and saturation of welfare schemes.
Similar activities were organised at Moothi-B in Marmat, where officials interacted directly with local residents, addressed grievances on the spot and created awareness about government schemes and entitlements, ensuring inclusive and citizen-centric governance at the grassroots level.
The Social Welfare Department organised a grievances redressal camp at Bhaderwah. Officials listened to public grievances and resolved several of them on the spot.
Sanction letters of approved pension cases were given away to eligible beneficiaries, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to social security, transparency and welfare outreach.
In another significant initiative, an MMU Outreach Health Camp was organised at Village Pershulla- Medical Block Ghat, where patients were screened for different ailments and provided free medicines followed by an awareness session on disease prevention and personal hygiene to improve community health outcomes.
To further strengthen the grievances redressal mechanism, a Grievances Redressal Cell has been established at the ACD Office to ensure effective and time-bound redressal of public issues.
