The programme commenced with a formal welcome of the dignitaries, followed by the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp, marking an auspicious beginning to the event. The function was graced by Mr. Ranvir Singh, President, Akhnoor District Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee, as the Chief Guest. SP Rural Jammu Mr. Brijesh Sharma and SHO Akhnoor Mr. Rajesh Jasrotia were present as Special Guests. While addressing the parents, SP Rural Jammu Mr. Brijesh Sharma made a special appeal to give quality time to their children and keep a close watch on their daily activities. He emphasized that in today's digital era, children should be encouraged to stay away from excessive use of mobile phones, Android TVs, and other digital screens, and instead spend more time with their grandparents. He expressed concern over the growing distance between children and elders, stating that the presence of grandparents plays a vital role in instilling values, culture, and emotional strength in children. |
