Early Times Report RAMBAN, Dec 26: Demonstrating its commitment to citizen-centric policing and public service delivery, Ramban Police has successfully traced and recovered 45 lost mobile phones, collectively valued at approximately ?7 lakh, and handed them over to their rightful owners. These mobile phones had been reportedly missing at different Police Stations across the J&K UT and outside the UT also. The recovery was accomplished by a dedicated team of Cyber Police Station Ramban, led by Inspector Ashiq Hussain, through the use of advanced technical tools and systematic investigation. The Cyber police station team is working under the guidance of Sh Arun Gupta JKPS SSP Ramban and its functioning is supervised by DySP Shri Viqar Younus Batt, DSP HQrs Ramban. After completion of all due verification formalities, the recovered mobile phones were restored to their legitimate owners. The beneficiaries expressed heartfelt gratitude towards Ramban Police for its prompt and professional assistance. Pertinently, since the establishment of the Cyber Police Station/Cyber Cell in District Ramban in 2024, a total of 195 lost or missing mobile phones, worth approximately ?30 lakh, have been traced, recovered, and restored to its owners. This initiative has received widespread appreciation from the general public. Ramban Police reiterates its firm resolve to safeguard the lives and property of citizens and remains steadfast in strengthening public trust through responsive and technology-driven policing. |
