Udhampur, Dec 27: The case pertains to FIR No. 110/2025 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act of Police Station Chenani, wherein on 02.11.2025, during naka checking at Motorshed Naka point, the naka police team apprehended Sata Masih S/o Hadet Masih R/o Chandu Suja, Batala, Gurdaspur (Punjab) and recovered poppy straw from his possession, leading to the registration of the case and initiation of investigation.
A prompt investigation led by PSI Priyambhna Sharma (GEC-246073) ensured that all legal formalities were completed within the stipulated time and the charge-sheet was filed before the Hon’ble Court.
After due course of trial, the Hon’ble Principal Sessions Court, Udhampur convicted the accused under the relevant provisions of the NDPS Act and imposed a fine of ₹12,000.
