| Udhampur residents demand more trains | | |

Local residents and an NGO have shown great concern over the suspension of inter city express running between Jaisalmer to Udhampur from last several months by Northern railway. Irked over the decision of railways, the locals along with members of NGO Lok Vikas Dal and Chamber of Commerce and Industry met with Deputy Commissioner here today and sought his intervention in the matter.
Members criticized the decision of railway authority and termed it injustice with locals, instead of starting more new trains on route railway suspended one more train from route which is of great concern for local residents and business community here.
Talking with media LVD NGO president Vikram Slathia has criticized decision of railway and said that being headquarter of northern command and nearest station to Mata Vashnavo Devi whereas Railway would have stared more trains to meet heavy rush of passengers during summer season it has curtailed one more train which is not in the interest of local business community . He demanded for restoration of service on line otherwise NGO will be forced to come on roads with support of locals to fight for its genuine demand.
