| Soldier kills senior in Kalakote | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 20 : An Army jawan posted with counter-insurgency Rashtriya Rifles (RR) shot dead his superior in Kalakot area of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir, an official spokesman today said.
Sepoy Kuldeep Raj of 63 RR allegedly opened fire on his colleagues, killing his senior Havildar Ram Briksh Singh Yadav on the spot late last night, Brigadier General Staff of Nagrota-based XVI Corps Brig Gurdeep Singh said.
Another jawan, identified as sepoy Darshan Pani who was also injured in the incident, was shifted to the nearby hospital in Rajouri, Brig Singh informed.
The accused, who managed to flee after committing the crime, was apprehended later.
Army has instituted a court of inquiry to probe the incident.
