| DDC Chairman Doda attends inauguration of fencing project | | | Early Times Report
DODA, Dec 29: The Department of Rural Development today inaugurated the newly completed channeling and fencing project at Government Higher Secondary School Kahara- Panchayat Dharyouth. Constructed to enhance protection of school premises and security of staff and students, the fencing project has been executed at a cost of Rs 2.20 Lakh by the Rural Development Department (RDD) under the CAPEX PRI Grant 2024–25. The inaugural ceremony was graced by the Chairman District Development Council Doda, Dhananter Singh Kotwal, who underscored the importance of creating safe, secure and student-friendly educational institutions, particularly in rural and hilly areas. The programme was attended by the Block Development Officer (BDO) Kahara, block-level officials, former PRI representatives and members of the local civil society. The presence of community representatives reflected active public participation and support for developmental initiatives undertaken at the grassroots level. The officials reiterated the collective commitment of PRIs and the Rural Development Department towards the effective and transparent utilisation of CAPEX funds for need-based development. |
