DODA, Dec 29: Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh today chaired a crucial meeting of the Building Operation Controlling Authority (BOCA) and Bhaderwah Development Authority (BDA), Bhaderwah, here at the DC Office Complex. The meeting focused on regulating residential and commercial building operations within the BDA jurisdiction to ensure planned development, while preserving the ecological and aesthetic character of the tourist destination. A total of 19 building permission cases (residential and commercial) were examined in detail as per BOCA rules and regulations. After thorough scrutiny of the mandatory formalities, 4 cases were approved, 2 were rejected, while 6 cases were deferred with directions to remove deficiencies and submit the requisite documents. Matters related to Change of Land Use (CLU), title verification, revenue reports and online portal compliance were also discussed comprehensively. The deliberations centered on strict enforcement of building byelaws, streamlining approval mechanisms, preventing unauthorized construction and ensuring conformity with the master plan and tourism development norms. The Deputy Commissioner interacted with the Town Planner, Jammu through virtual mode and the cases were approved after due concurrence of the Town Planner. Emphasis was laid on maintaining a balance between infrastructure growth and environmental conservation to promote sustainable tourism in Bhaderwah. The meeting was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner Bhaderwah, SDM Gandoh, CEO, Town Planner Jammu (virtual mode), Superintending Engineer PWD (R&B) Circle Doda, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Bhaderwah, Executive Engineer PWD (R&B) Division Bhaderwah, Tehsildar Bhalla, Officer Commanding GREF 118 RCC Kishtwar and other concerned officers. |
