Jammu, Dec 30: Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Jammu successfully organized a seven-day MCBE (Maharishi Consciousness-Based Education) Teachers Training Programme from 23 to 29 December 2025, designed as an enriching academic and spiritual journey for teachers. The programme aimed at deepening educators’ understanding of Consciousness-Based Education by harmoniously integrating intellectual discourse, experiential learning, and inner development. The initiative emerged as a deeply transformative experience, strengthening both professional competence and personal growth among participants. The Valedictory Session on 29 December 2025 was graced by Dr. Dilip Kumar, Director, Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), Government of India, as the Chief Guest, whose presence added national academic significance to the programme. The event was further dignified by the august presence of eminent Special Guests, including Sh. Shreyansh Kumar Jain, State Chairman, Indian Yoga Association and State Yoga Commissioner, who presented a thoughtful poem reflecting the spirit of the training programme and the timeless teachings of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. He also warmly welcomed and expressed gratitude towards Dr. Veena Bahuguna and Sh. Sudhir Singh Jadon for their academic leadership. Other distinguished guests included Sh. K. C. S. Mehta, Academic Director, IDPS Akhnoor; Sh. Atul Hans, Director & Principal, IDRS Jammu; Sh. Rajeev Sharma, Principal, Police Public School; and Mrs. Vishakha Sharma, Educator Trainer. All the speakers highlighted the relevance of Maharishi Ji’s teachings in modern education and lauded the consistent efforts of Maharishi Vidya Mandir in nurturing value-based and holistic education. The academic leadership of the programme was ably provided by Dr. Veena Bahuguna, Course Director, who presented a comprehensive and insightful perspective on the relevance and need for Consciousness-Based Education in contemporary times. She was supported by Sh. Sudhir Singh Jadon, Assistant Course Director, whose guidance added clarity, depth, and practical orientation to the sessions. The programme commenced on a spiritually uplifting note with Guru Pooja and Lamp Lighting, symbolizing reverence for knowledge and the sacred role of teachers. Each day began with Group Meditation and TM-Siddhi practice, creating an atmosphere of calm, coherence, and collective harmony, enabling participants to experience the practical essence of MCBE. A series of enlightening academic sessions formed the backbone of the programme. Key themes included Development of Total Brain Functioning through Consciousness-Based Education, The Maharishi Effect, Ten Principles of Ideal Communication and Behaviour, and Standards of Ideal Behaviour in the Classroom. These themes were explored through interactive discussions, question-answer sessions, role-plays, chart-making activities, and collaborative group work, ensuring active participation and experiential understanding. Teachers presented group projects on the Five Fundamentals of Education and prepared individual lesson plans aligned with the MCBE framework, effectively bridging theory with classroom practice. The programme also featured vibrant cultural performances and presentations, showcasing the creativity, talent, and collective spirit of the participating teachers. The training concluded with a dignified Valedictory and Certificate Award Ceremony. Dr. Vishnu Govind Verma, Venue Director, delivered the welcome address. In his inspiring valedictory speech, Dr. Dilip Kumar urged teachers to emerge as role models and nation-builders, embodying the ideals of Adhyayan Sheel, Adhyayan Ratt, and Aanandit. Certificates were awarded to all participants, followed by a heartfelt Vote of Thanks proposed by Mrs. Leena Abrol. The seven-day MCBE Teachers Training Programme proved to be a holistic, empowering, and rejuvenating experience. It enriched teachers with practical pedagogical tools, strengthened their understanding of Consciousness-Based Education, and reinforced their role as value-oriented, compassionate, and inspired educators. The harmonious blend of meditation, academic rigor, interaction, and cultural enrichment left participants motivated to nurture balanced, confident, and joyful learners.
