| Farooq offers prayers at Ajmer | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 21- National Conference Chief Dr Farooq Abdullah, a front runner in the race for cabinet berth, on Thursday offered special prayers at Ajmer Sharief Dargah along with Rajya Sabha MP Mohammed Shafi Uri and his political advisor Mohammed Aslam Goni. During his visit to the Ajmer Sharief shrine, Dr Abdullah prayed for peace and prosperity in the region and extended good wishes to the newly formed union government under the leadership of Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh. Rajya Sabha MP Mohammed Sahfi Uri and political advisor Mohammed Aslam Goni accompanied Dr Abdullah and spent some time inside the shrine. The trio inter-acted with several other pilgrims during their stay at the shrine. Interestingly, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had also visited Ajmer Sharief, two days ago, and had offered special prayers there.
