| Samba police nabbed drug peddler with 9.80 grams heroin like substance | | |  Early Times Report
SAMBA, Dec 31: Continuing its drive against drug smugglers & peddlers, Samba Police has arrested a drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba and recovered approximately 9.80 grams heroin-like substance (chitta) from his possession.
Acting on specific information received from reliable sources, a Police team of Police Post Rakh Amb Talli of PS Samba during special Naka near Basantar Bridge, intercepted a pedestrian moving suspiciously from Rakh Barotain towards Samba via border road. During frisking, approximately 9.80 grams heroin like substance was recovered from the possession of said person.
The drug peddler identified as Wazarat Hussain S/o Mohd Bashir R/o Bhattian tehsil Thanna Mandi district Rajouri has been arrested and the contraband item has also been seized.
A case FIR No 315/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Samba and investigation started. |
