| CCI Welcomes Rs 1,430 Crore MHA assistance, seeks early relief for affected families | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 1: In a meeting of the Office Bearers of Chamber of Commerce & Industry held today at Chamber House Arun Gupta expressed gratitude for the allocation of Rs. 1430 crores by the Ministry of Home Affairs. This funding is specifically designated for reconstruction, repairing public infrastructure damaged by cloudbursts, landslide, flash floods and implementing disaster prevention measures in affected districts of Jammu President extended his thanks to Amit Shah, Union Home Minister and Atal Dulloo Chief Secretary whose efforts were instrumental in the approval process of financial assistance for UT of J&K. President also emphasized the need for individual relief. A central team has already assessed losses to private, residential and commercial properties including Vehicles. Details of these losses have been submitted by various NGOs, Civil Society members and political parties. He strongly urges the government to provide compensation to the affected families based on actual losses at the earliest. |
