Early Times Report AMRITSAR, Jan 5: The Naval Wing NCC cadets of DAV College, Amritsar, have brought immense pride to the institution and the state by delivering an outstanding performance at the highly competitive All India Annual Training Camp (AIATC) held at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, Kerala. Selected to represent the 2 Punjab Naval Unit NCC , the contingent from DAV College cadets Roshni and Kushboo excelled in a rigorous regimen of training, competitions and evaluations alongside the stupendous cadets from across the nation.The camp was designed to foster leadership, discipline, and naval skills, saw both the cadets demonstrate exceptional proficiency in various domains. The camp witnessed participation from 17 Directorates (DTEs) from across the country, making the achievements of the cadets highly commendable.During the camp, Cadet Roshni won First Position in Boat Rigging and also led from the front as the Commander of PHHHP & C DTE in the Drill Competition, guiding her contingent to clinch First Prize in Drill among all 17 Directorates. Various competitions like Boat Pulling, Firing, Semaphore and Cultural Competition were also organised. Cadet Khushboo actively participated in various training and competitive activities, contributing significantly to the strong representation of the institution. While applauding the efforts of the cadets, The College Principal Dr Amardeep Gupta stated that the entire DAV College fraternity is elated and proud of our NCC cadets.Their success at the national level camp at the Indian Naval Academy is a testament to their hard work, discipline, and the excellent training ecosystem of our NCC unit. They have truly lived up to the college's motto of excellence. Cdr. N Nishant, Commanding Officer of 2 Pb. Naval Unit NCC added that the remarkable achievement underscores the high standard of NCC training and the dedication of the cadets under the guidance of the college's NCC officers. NCC officer Dr Gaurav Sharma informed that the cadets' performance has not only earned them individual accolades but has also significantly raised the profile of the Punjab Directorate and DAV College on the national NCC map. |
