JAMMU, Jan 5: We are deeply saddened to learn about the untimely demise of Bashir Naik, Block President, who passed away due to a sudden heart attack at Mandi. His passing is an irreparable loss for his family, the party, and the people of the region who benefitted from his lifelong dedication to public service. The President Dr. Farooq Abdullah, the Hon'ble Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, and Ajaz Ahmed Jan, MLA Poonch, express their profound grief and heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. Late Bashir Naik was not only a committed party leader but also a towering grassroots representative. He was repeatedly elected as Sarpanch of Panchayat Dunnugam for nearly 35 years, a rare testament to the immense trust, love, and confidence reposed in him by the people. Throughout his long public life, he remained humble, accessible, and firmly rooted among the masses, always raising people's issues with honesty and courage. His contribution to strengthening democratic institutions at the grassroots level and to the growth of the party will be remembered with respect and gratitude.
