Jammu, Jan 6: A Six-week Training Programme on “Basic Disaster Management Training course” for (47) Police personnels nominated by PHQ J&K vide order No. 4739 of 2025 dated 27-02-2025 of different districts of Jammu Province, has been inaugurated Today on 06.01.2025 by Shri Z.N Manhas, IPS, Commandant, SDRF 2nd Battalion Jammu, at the Central Training Institute (CTI) HG/CD, Kot Bhalwal, Jammu in presence of Sh. Dinesh Gupta Dy.SP SDRF, Sh. Rohit Dev Singh, Dy.SP Training SDRF , Principal CTI HG/CD Kot-Bhalwal Jammu and other staff members.
During the inaugural session, the Commandant SDRF highlighted the aims and objectives of said “Basic Disaster Management Course” to train manpower including the Police personnel from J&K Police who have to act as first responders during disaster prone areas of J&K UT.
He stressed that Police personnel who are part of the said training to acquaint themselves and get equipped with essential skills to act as disaster response force in order to coordinate and act as first responders in disaster-affected areas.
