Early Times Report KISHTWAR, Jan 6: As part of the National Road Safety Month 2026, a Road Safety Selfie Booth was installed at DC Office Kishtwar to promote road safety awareness and encourage responsible driving behavior. The initiative was formally launched by the Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Sharma, who took the first selfie at the booth, followed by ACR, Idrees lone, ARTO Tasleem Wani, AO DC Office, Daleep Kumar & other District Officers/Officials and the general public, symbolising the administration's commitment to safer roads and adherence to traffic rules. Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized that road safety is a collective responsibility and awareness is the key to saving precious lives. "Innovative initiatives like the Road Safety Selfie booth helps in connecting with people in a positive and engaging manner, especially the youth and encourage them to follow traffic rules in their day-to-day lives," he noted. The DC urged citizens to strictly adhere to road safety norms by wearing helmets and seat belts, avoiding rash driving and over-speeding for the welfare of the entire society.
