JAMMU, Jan 6: During routine patrolling on the SMVD Track in the jurisdiction of P.P. Ban Ganga, the police party, upon reaching near Bathing Ghat-01, Ban Ganga, stopped one person for checking who was found working as a Pony Operator.
On being questioned, he disclosed his name as Shabir Ahmed S/O Mohd Sadiq caste Gujjar R/O Bhagani Rawat teh .Bhalwal district Jammu . During verification, he was asked to produce the valid registered service/pony card, upon which he admitted that he was doesn't have any authorised or registered pony card and stated that he assumed he would not be checked.
By working as a Pony Operator on the SMVD Track without authorisation/registration, the said person has violated the notification issued by the SDM, Katra.
Accordingly, FIR No. 04/2026 U/S 223(a) BNS has been registered at Police Station Katra, and further investigation is underway.
