| Milchar front: Induct Farooq Abdullah in Union cabinet | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, MAY 22: Milchar front General secretary Kuldeep Kumar Rao has appealed to Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and UPA chairman Sonia Gandhi to induct Dr. Farooq Abdullah as a minister in the union cabinet.
As per press release Rao has requested PM Abdullah should be given Defence or home portfolio, beside representation should be given to Jammu division also in the cabinet.
Rao has demanded ministerial berth for Mohd Sharif Niaz who recently won from Bhaderwah by-election to represent the people of Doda district, beside MLC be nominated from Tehsil Thatri, which has not given any representation in the state legislature since Independence. He have also expressed hope that coalition government will ensure equal development of all the three regions of the state and urged NC-Congress coalition government to ensure that there will be no regional discrimination with Jammu region which has been ignored for last 61 years.
