Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 8: A deputation led by Sarfraz Hanief, Founder Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir United Employees Union (JKUEU), along with Sakoon Manir, UT General Secretary, National Old Pension Restoration United Front (NOPRUF), and other representatives today met the Hon'ble Education Minister and the Director Finance (Education) to seek the immediate release of the pending budget for the month of December 2025. During the meeting, Sakoon Manir and Sarfraz Hanief strongly urged the authorities to ensure the early disbursement of salaries of teachers across Jammu and Kashmir. The delegation highlighted that the continued delay in salary payments has caused severe financial hardship to the teaching fraternity, adversely affecting their day-to-day household responsibilities. The representatives emphasized that timely release of salaries is essential to maintain teachers' morale and to ensure the smooth and uninterrupted functioning of academic activities in educational institutions. The Hon'ble Education Minister and the Director Finance (Education) were requested to take urgent steps for the release of the pending budget so that teachers receive their December 2025 salary without any further delay. The deputation also demanded a permanent solution to the recurring budget crisis by constituting district-level committees to assess and provide accurate budgetary requirements in advance. The delegation stated, would bring much-needed relief to the teachers' community of Jammu and Kashmir and prevent future delays. |
