| PDP for stress on healthcare | | | Early Times Report Srinagar, May 22 PDP general Secretary and MLA Nizamudin Bhat has stated that health sector in Jammu and Kashmir should be given top priority. He said in this direction the government would do well only if the money spared for health sector under various schemes is spent on improving the internal medical facilities and hospital development. PDP Leader regretted that most of the hospitals and dispensaries are lacking in basic amenities for patient care and many hospitals sans the doctors and Para medical staff. He expressed dismay that in certain cases the money is likely to waste due to unimaginative planning. He said that he has conveyed in writing to health minister of Jammu & Kashmir to immediately take a decision about the construction of hospital building at District head quarter Bandipore and expressed hope that the public money will not be wasted and the objective of health care will not be jeopardized at the behest of vested interest. He suggested that spot inspection for objective assessment should be made for construction of hospital in Bandipore and demanded round the clock power supply to the hospital so that the treatment available yields results to the satisfaction of the incoming patients.
