| Dy CM congratulates Manmohan on becoming PM | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, MAY 22 Deputy Chief Minister, Mr Tara Chand has congratulated Dr Manmohan Singh for heading the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government in the 16th Lok Sabha, for the second consecutive term. He also congratulated Jenab Ghulam Nabi Azad, former Chief Minister of J&K for taking oath as Cabinet Minister along with 19 other ministers today.
The Deputy Chief Minister hoped that the UPA government at the centre would render wholehearted support to NC-Congress coalition government in the state to usher an era of lasting peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that Dr Manmohan Singh would continue to work for realizing his dream of a progressive J&K state marching ahead in the field of socio-economic growth and development.
Mr Tara Chand said that swearing in of ‘son of the soil’ Jenab Ghulam Nabi Azad as Cabinet Minister has sent a wave of happiness across the state. He exuded confidence that development in the state would get a fillip under the charismatic guidance of Mr Azad, who is well versed with the ground situation in the state and held a vision of equitable development of all regions of the state.
