Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 15: Three third-year B.Tech Civil Engineering students from the School of Civil Engineering (SoCE), Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU)-Durgesh Kumar, Amit Kumar, and Anooshi Wangoo-successfully presented their research papers at the International Conference on Sustainable Materials and Infrastructure, held at IIT Jammu.The conference brought together eminent scholars, researchers, and experts from leading national and international institutions, including IITs, IISc, and NITs, providing a vibrant platform for the exchange of innovative ideas in the field of sustainable engineering. Durgesh Kumar presented a review paper titled "Enhancing the Durability of Concrete Infrastructure through Biomineralization-Based Self-Healing", co-authored with Sunish Kumar Singh, Deepesh Kumar, Amit Kumar, Ranveer Singh, and Deovanshu Singh. Amit Kumar presented his paper "Use of Natural Coagulant: Mixture of Moringa Seeds and Nirmali Seeds Based Coagulant in Water Treatment", co-authored with Deepesh Kumar, Samaira Sinha, Ranveer Singh, Durgesh Kumar, and Miss Anooshi Wangoo. Anooshi Wangoo presented her review paper "Sustainable Utilization of E-Waste in the Construction Industry: A Comprehensive Review", co-authored with Amit Kumar, Durgesh Kumar, Deepesh Kumar, and Akarshan Sanmotra. All three papers were carried out under the guidance of Dr. Vaibhav Sapkal and Dr. Rahul Sharma, Assistant Professors at the School of Civil Engineering, SMVDU.The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Pragati Kumar, and the Head of SoCE, Dr. V. K. Dogra, along with faculty members, congratulated the students and their supervisors on this commendable achievement.
