Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 15: Nangi Tekri Battalion under the aegis of Krishna Ghati Brigade organized a Medical and Dental Outreach Camp on 15th January 2026 at Jhullas under Operation Sadbhavana, aimed at delivering essential healthcare services to the local population. The initiative also supported by CMO Poonch by providing specialist doctors for camp, it showcased military civil fusion. Local population shown enthusiastic participation from villagers, including women, children and elderly citizens. oFree distribution of essential medicines for fever, infections, gastric complaints, skin diseases, musculoskeletal pain, chronic illnesses, and maternal-child health needs. o Comprehensive medical examinations, including blood pressure measurement, blood sugar testing, respiratory assessment, and symptom-based clinical evaluation. o Dental services, including oral cavity examination, identification of dental caries and gum diseases, basic dental procedures, pain management, and referral advice for advanced dental care. o Dental health education sessions focusing on oral hygiene practices, correct brushing techniques, prevention of tooth decay and gum disease, and dietary advice for maintaining dental health. o Health awareness sessions on personal hygiene, nutrition, first-aid, winter-related disease prevention, and sanitation. As part of Op Sadbhavana, medical and dental care facilities were provided to elderly and high-risk individuals. Patients requiring specialized treatment were guided with appropriate referral advice. The outreach reinforced preventive healthcare awareness and improved access to medical and dental services in the remote region. The initiative further strengthened the bond between the local community and the Indian Army, reflecting the Indian Army's continued commitment to humanitarian service and community welfare. Local residents expressed heartfelt gratitude, appreciating the camp as a timely and impactful healthcare initiative. |
