DC Ramban finalises arrangements for R-Day celebrations

RAMBAN, Jan 15: Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan today finalized the arrangements for the 77th Republic Day celebration here at a meeting attended by senior civil and police officers.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the Republic Day functions shall be held at District, Sub-Divisional, Tehsil, Block and institutional levels across the district. He directed the district heads of the departments to hoist the National Flag and illuminate respective offices and other government buildings on the occasion.
The meeting was attended by Senior Superintendent of Police Arun Gupta; Senior Superintendent of Police (Traffic) NHW Raja Adil Hameed; ADC Varunjeet Singh Charak; CPO Dr. Shakeeb Ahmed; ACR Shokat Hayat Mattoo, Sub-Divisional Magistrates and other officers.
The DC further asked the departments to gear up for the second phase of the Commemoration of 150 Years of National Pride - 'Vande Mataram, commencing from January 19, 2026. He directed the stakeholder departments to organise the "Vande Mataram" activities as per the schedule issued by the District Administration, besides ensuring maximum public participation in the celebrations.
While reviewing departmental arrangements, the Deputy Commissioner instructed the officers to complete all preparations well in advance and ensure their presence at the district-level function. He also directed them to ensure the participation of subordinate officers and officials in functions within their respective jurisdictions.
It was informed that the district-level function shall be organized at the District Police Lines Grounds.
The SSP directed all concerned to ensure foolproof security arrangements, while the SSP Traffic briefed the meeting on the traffic management plan for the event.
