Early Times Report CHANDIGARH, Jan 16: The Haryana Right to Service Commission, after examining all facts and records, has issued necessary directions in a case related to the Dr. Ambedkar Meritorious Student Scheme. A Commission spokesperson stated that it came to the Commission's notice that the application submitted under the scheme by Ms. Tina, a resident of Bhiwani, required reconsideration, as she had secured 82.4 percent marks in accordance with CBSE guidelines and fulfilled the eligibility criteria of the scheme. In compliance with the Commission's directions, the concerned department has deposited the prescribed scholarship amount of ?8,000 into the applicant's account within the stipulated time. The Commission also observed that during the processing of the case, the applicant had to make additional efforts by filing appeals and seeking revision. Exercising the powers conferred under the Haryana Right to Service Act, 2014, and considering the overall facts of the case, the Commission has directed that compensation of ?5,000 be provided to the applicant, with the objective of further strengthening the timely delivery of services in the future. The Commission has directed the concerned department to complete all necessary formalities within the prescribed time frame, ensure payment, and submit compliance information to the Commission. |
