Jammu, Jan 16: The University of Jammu has declared the results of the University of Jammu Alumni Association (UJAA) elections, in which Dr. Satwant Singh Rissam—a distinguished media and communications professional, author, and heritage enthusiast—was unanimously elected as Joint Secretary for a two-year term.
An alumnus of the university’s Department of Law, Dr. Rissam earned this role through the strong trust and support of his peers.UJAA plays a vital role in the university’s ecosystem, organizing alumni meets, placement and career counseling sessions, and lecture series to enrich the intellectual and academic environment.In this position, Dr. Rissam will work closely with the university administration to strengthen ties between graduates and their alma mater, driving initiatives that bolster the institution’s legacy. Expressing gratitude to association members for their confidence, he shared: “The University depends on us, its alumni. When it calls, we must step forward.” |
