| CS gets additional charge of Pr Sec Planning | | | Srinagar, July 15: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary C Phunsug
has been given the additional charge of Principal Secretary planning
and development, the post which was earlier held by the IAS officer
Iqbal Khandey, who is behind the bars for his alleged involvement in
the infamous sex-scandal.
Highly placed sources told News Agency of Kashmir that chief
minister Ghulam Nabi Azad was informed about the difficulties being
faced by the heads of various departments in the absence of principal
secretary Planning and Development. "The chief minister directed the
General Administrative Department to hand over the charge of Khandey
to the chief secretary till some other arrangements are made", added
the sources.
If the sources have to be believed, the sex-scandal accused Iqbal
Khandey has only been relived from the charge and has not been
suspended till date. This has been done despite of the fact that
Khandey is behind the bars since last more than two weeks. |
