| CA’s organize seminar | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu May 23 – Hardeep Aggarwal, who chaired a seminar held under the aegis of J&K Branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, spoke at length on various matters of professional interest. He stated that society at large depends upon the professional skills of Chartered Accountants who conduct the independent audit and are also providing consultancy on taxation matters, both under direct and indirect taxes. Sudhir Kapoor, Registrar of Companies, who also spoke on the occasion, appreciated the role of Chartered Accountants in providing independent reporting and professional accounting and auditing services. At the same time he appealed that all the companies should file their papers/ returns in time with the ROC office, failing which action warranted under the Company Law shall be taken against them. The learned faculties CA Naveen ND Gupta and CA Aseem Chawla dwelt on the topic of “issues on cash credit under Income Tax Act’ and the ‘limited liability partnership’ respectively.
