| CM continues public contact, meets several deputations | | ‘Accelerated development of core sectors my priority’ | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, May 23- Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today said that accelerated development of all core sectors was the hallmark of his governance that he has envisaged for J&K State. He said every effort will be made to accommodate public demands as well as promptly address their grievances. The Chief Minister said this during his public contact meetings with a large number of individuals and deputations that had come from various parts of the State to meet him at his Private Office, here today. They brought various matters relating to development of their areas into the notice of the Chief Minister. Abdullah said, ever since he took over as Chief Minister, has been regularly meeting people to get firsthand feedback on their problems and acquaint himself with their needs and requirements. Two deputations from Leh and Kargil called on Chief Minister today. The deputations led by Chief Executive Councilors, LAHDC, Leh, C. Namgyal and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil, Kachu Ahmad Ali respectively and brought to the notice of the Chief Minister issues relating to early completion of power projects and up-gradation of basic amenities in the two districts. They also demanded that setting up of power projects at Bogdan and Sasumar and release of required funds for Haftal, Marpachoo and Iqbal power projects. The Chief Minister gave a patient hearing to all the deputations and assured them that their demands will be looked into.
