UDHAMPUR, Jan 20: The case pertains to FIR No. 51/2025 under Sections 8/15 of the NDPS Act of Police Station Majalta wherein on 25-06-2025, during checking at Sunal area under the jurisdiction of PS Majalta, the police team apprehended accused Ashok Kumar S/o Ranjeet Kumar R/o Nangal Bhor, Pathankot.
During checking, poppy straw was recovered from the Truck bearing Registration No. RJ09GD-1984, leading to the registration of the case and initiation of investigation.
A prompt investigation led by SI Firdous Ahmed ensured that all legal procedures were completed on time and the charge-sheet was filed before the Hon'ble Court.
After the due course of trial, the JMIC Court, Majalta convicted the inter-state accused under the relevant provisions of the NDPS Act and imposed a fine of Rs 5,000/-. |
