Karnaila Chak land dispute report should be made public: BJP

JAMMU, MAY 23 : Referring to the report submitted by the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu to the government regarding Karnaila Chak forest land dispute, the BJP State President Ashok Khajuria demanded that it should be published immediately.
While addressing a press conference at party headquarter, Mr Khajuria said, “I am confident that report has named some influential as land grabbers and this I demand immediate registration of cases against the culprits and action as per law be taken.’
He reiterated the demand of white paper over the land encroached by the land grabbers, especially the forest land, and demanded that the land should be immediate got vacated.
Mr Khajuria said that land grabbers also include certain influential political leaders and their families, which is making the vacation difficult as the grabbers are not only grabbing the land but they have done so under active involvement of political leaders including former Chief Minister.
Ashok Khajuria said that media reports are very much clear over the land grabbing in different parts of the state and demanded stern-action against the grabbers irrespective of status.
Meanwhile he also expressed his grave concern over non-issuance of adequate relief to the victims of accident at Banderkote (Kishtwar) and demanded ex-gratia relief of Rs. 5 lakh to the family of each deceased.
Khajuria also mentioned that the party will raise the delimitation issue in the budget sesion of the assembly and also agitate on roads by all means to get justice for the Jammu province.
BJP State Vice-President Dr. Nirmal Kamal and State spokesperson Ramesh arora were also present in the press conference.
