MOHALI, Jan 23: On the occasion of National Youth Day, Vikasarth Vidyarthi (Students for Development), a club functioning under Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), in collaboration with Rayat Bahra Professional University, successfully organized a seminar on the theme "Screen Time to Green Time: Youth for Environmental Action." The chief guest, former Member of Parliament Shri Avinash Rai Khanna, addressed the gathering and proposed a practical plan for the youth: to stay away from mobile phones for at least one hour daily and spend that time in nature. He emphasized that moving from screen time to green time is the need of the hour and that youth must take an active role in environmental protection. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Chander Mohan, highlighted the social work of Swami Vivekananda and inspired students to set clear goals and give them utmost importance in life. He stated that when youth remain focused on their goals, they can bring meaningful change to society and the nation. |
