| BMS deputation call on labour minister | | |

A deputation of Bharatiyan mazdoor Sangh (BMS) led by its senior leader Lakshman Ravinder singh met labour minister Surjeet Singh Slathia and apprise him about the exploitation of contractual workers engaged by so called labour suppliers for the factories. Leaders of deputation also urged upon the minister for revision of minimum wages at the earliest and reimplementation of labour laws as at present there is grave violation of labour laws in the state . as per press release minister gave patient hearing and assured the deputation that minimum wages notification is likely to be issued by the end of this Mont and shall also hold meting of contract labour advisory board at the earliest.
The labour leaders also appreciated the labour minister’s initiative for discouraging the contract labour system by giving instruction to labour deptt. for not issuing licenses to contractors.
