End of LTTE’S Tyrannical ERA
5/25/2009 12:32:47 AM

Khuswant S. Ranial
Death is that part of the life which is only the hardest reality of this cosmos affair. To some it comes in a dignified manner and to some one it in a disgraced way. It all depend upon one’s act of his previous life and the amount of virtues and Sims, one has committed as per the vedantic philosophy. Those who die with honour are remembered for a long long time but on the other hand, but other ones are forgotten with the passage of time. History once again stood up by her credentials that life of any one irrespect of nature, dimension and size is predestined and fixed. Perhaps this notion in arguably did apply with LTTE chief V. Prabhakaran who fell to bullets of Sri Lankan Army at that time when her was attempting to flee in a van after making a futile bid to escape of the laid siege by the Army. No doubt with his elimination SriLankan State might have filt a sigh of relief as the most wanted and dreaded element who run reign of terror for nearly three decades will be in no sight in the near future to operationalise any untoward hostile activity which may cause loss of humanity drilling in the Territory of the ravaged ridden state. It may be looking an end of tyrarrical era compounded with arson, violerice, genocide, but to pin hope of complete restoration of normally is still an distant dream, Undoubtedly, India Govt. has sent her envoy led by MK Naranyan to conceptual is the focus the rehabilitation of displaced Tamilian in last 2-3 snowtihs due to SriLankan Army operations against LTTE. But since it is internal security matter of that state that how much they respond both to ours as well external foreign humanitarian agencies calls.
The problem of Tamil began with the exit of British Empire who had taken the Tamilians from Tamil Nadu in hill country side area of SriLanka for raising Tea plantation crop in early 19405. Under the colonial rule, these people by the dint of their hard work, managed to earn, meager but respectable livelihood. But no sooner the Britishers in 1948, left after the independence of SriLanka, the locals of the SriLankan State started depriving the Tamilians their due political, civil and economic rights, thus forcing to brew a sense of alienation, anger, and insecurity. Ethnic chauvinism gained peak due to poor approach of Sinhalese politicians who made simhala an official language. These racial apartheids provided Young V. Prabhakaran, who belonged to a very poor but modest family to form a Tamil New Tigers unit in 1972. For V. Parabhakaran who had his birth in the northern belt of SriLankan Island, no sacrifice was too great for seeking his desired objective of a separate state hood in the name of Ealam in a island of mainly Sinhalese Buddhists. With n the short span of time, he expanded the cadre strength of TNT and gave the new name of LTTE, in which the word Tiger aimed to represent the symbol of Cholas, a Tamil dynasty which had dominated medieval south Asia.
The great Tiger during his life time had believed only on a couple of faithful aides. He did not Trust too much
He believed to call spade a spade. Mercy was beyond the walls of his made, strict disciplined life stretched his sojourn of violence against all hostilities and uncertainties. He gave new parameters to the standards of Terrorism like fund raising, suicide bombing attacks, intelligence network, jungle t4rainings and formation of the hideouts etc. Not only this he even broadened his political sympathy in Tamil Nadu political elite to have a sleeping cells over here for shelter and collection of economic aid but equally he didn’t too much rely upon an outsiders reliably, it is learnt that Indian RAW officials also aided his carded strength to gain perfect guerilla warfare training in Tamils for causing havoc to his adversaries in SriLankan. The main cause of success behind V. Prabhakaran was his diktat to remain LTTE cadres celibate though after belling in love with one Tamil Girl namely Varissi, he got rule amerced for himself. Air modus operandi was to either do or die for the sake of great cause of separate Tamil Ealam in SriLankan. The beginning was humble and low but it ended in a pained manner.
No movement unrest survives against a state drive. Khalistan Movement in Indian inspired by a few could not succeed. Talibans are facing wrath in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Even the might of great saddam ruler, once ruler of Iraq failed to bear the burnt of mighty USA and her allied supporters. These hostile movements survives for a short span of their lives and ultimately succumbs to the pressures of powerful elected representative government. Humainity is above the all No autocrat could cherish the taste of her audacity and arduous think tank for a long time. It is ultimately the non-violence or Ahimsa of Gandhi prevails who forced Britishers to kneel down and go away from here. Following this formulance, Nelson Mandela managed to gain victory in South Africa.
However, whatever has happened should be supported for a better future. Overtham 70000 civilians, all innocents, have fallen prey to Prabhakaran ill-eoncived ideology that almost closed all options during his life time to share and compromise upon middle path. He always wanted for a separate statehood and noting short of that which is truly a dismal fact to ague and discuss about. Since displacement of over than 3,00,00 people beyond the No fire Zone area has taken place, so sensing the plight of helpless people purely based on the Humainitaream grounds, an all out help from ICRS, Non-governmental organization, who and other allied unhre agencies must come forward. India has already displaced and dispersed Tamilian Rehabilitation. Politically devolution of powers with autonomous self governance under the care and command of SriLankan and UN must be prioritized. It is the time to case the opportunity by both India and SriLankan as neighboring countries to work together to peace concrete measure to reap the economic benefits for futures growth and development.
