With a time of 11 minutes and 59 seconds, he also set a new national record. Two years ago, Havildar Malik was paralyzed from the waist down following an accident in Siang Valley. His incredible journey from recovery to standing atop the podium reflects his indomitable will and "Never Say Die" spirit.
