Meeting of Board of Studies, Department of Hindi held at SMVDU

KATRA, Feb 4: The first meeting of the Board of Studies (BoS) of the Department of Hindi, under the School of Languages and Literature, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, was successfully convened at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU).The meeting focused on academic planning and curriculum development, during which the course structure and detailed course contents of the Hindi programmes were discussed at length and formally finalized. The deliberations aimed at aligning the curriculum with contemporary academic standards while preserving the richness of Hindi language and literature.All faculty members of the Department of Languages and Literature actively participated in the meeting. The session was chaired by the Head of the Department, Dr. Anurag Kumar, and was attended by the Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Dr. Amitabh V. Dwivedi, who emphasized the importance of academic rigor and interdisciplinary relevance in curriculum design. The meeting was further enriched by the valuable inputs of the External Expert, Prof. Rahul Pandey, Department of Hindi, University of Lucknow, whose academic insights and suggestions contributed significantly to the finalization of the courses. The successful conduct of the first Board of Studies meeting marks an important milestone in strengthening the academic framework of the Department of Hindi at SMVDU.
