2 drug peddlers arrested, 5.07 gms of heroine recovered by Police at Arnia

JAMMU, Feb 4: Continuing its drive against drug trafficking and substances abuse,Jammu Police in Arnia achieved one more success by recovering 5.07 gms of heroine like substance from 02 drug peddlers. A Police team of Police Station Arnia led by *PSI Ravinder Singh assisted by other officers/officials of this P/S under the supervision of SHO P/S Arnia,Inspector Dilawar Kumar on 03.02.2026, while on routine patrolling under the jurisdiction of Police Station established a naka at Arnia & intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JKO2 DG 6552 at Arnia for checking purposes. The vehicle was being driven by Balvinder Kumar S/O Charan Dass R/O Bhour Camp, Chattha Tehsil Gadigarh District Jammu & Sunny Singh s/o Charan Singh R/o chattha pind as pillion rider. During checking and personal search 5.07 grams of heroin like substance was recovered from their possession. Accordingly, a case FIR No.03/2026 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Arnia. The accused persons have been arrested,Contraband seized and further investigation is going on. Jammu Police reiterates its firm resolve to eradicate the menace of drugs from society and appeals to the public to cooperate by sharing information related to drug trafficking and abuse.
