| Medical, Veterinary Camp conducted at Sinthan Maidan, Kishtwar | | | Early Times Report KISHTWAR, Feb 5: The Indian Army organized a comprehensive Medical and Veterinary Camp at Sinthan Maidan, Kishtwar, as part of its ongoing efforts to support the welfare of remote and underserved communities. The camp aimed to address the urgent healthcare needs of local residents and ensure the health of livestock, a vital source of livelihood for the people of the region. A team led by an Indian Army Medical Officer, along with trained paramedical staff, provided free medical consultations, health check-ups and distributed essential medical and nutritional supplements. In addition, awareness sessions on personal hygiene and preventive healthcare were conducted to educate the community on maintaining their well-being. Veterinary specialists from the District Veterinary Husbandry Department also played a crucial role by conducting health check-ups, vaccinations and deworming for the livestock. The specialists further educated the villagers on disease prevention and best practices for maintaining healthy animal husbandry. The initiative benefited 63 local residents and 27 livestock, significantly improving health awareness and well-being in the area. The camp was widely appreciated by the local community, who often face challenges in accessing healthcare due to the region's remoteness.
