| Drug peddler arrested,6.78 gms of heroin recovered by police | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 5: Continuing its drive against drug trafficking and substances abuse, R.S Pura Police achieved one more success by recovering 6.78 gms of Heroin(Chita) like substance from one drug peddlers from Chohala under the jurisdiction of P/S R.S Pura.
A Police team of Police Station R.S. Pura led by PSI Vishal Singh No. 245688/EXJ assisted by other officers/officials of this P/S under the supervision of SHO P/S R.S Pura Inspector Ravi Singh Parihar & under the overall supervision of SP Headquarters Jammu & SDPO R.S Pura,on 04.01.2026 while on routine patrolling under the jurisdiction of Police Station established a naka at Chohala and stopped one Scooty bearing Registration No. JK02CM-1980 for checking purpose. During Checking 6.78 gms of heroin like substance has been recovered from the possession of rider namely Vishal Kumar S/o Tarsem Lal R/o Sidher Tehsil Suchetgarh District Jammu
In this regard, a case FIR No. 28/2026 U/S 8/21/22/60 NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station R.S Pura, accused person has been arrested; contraband, scooty seized and further investigation is going on.
Jammu Police reiterates its firm resolve to eradicate the menace of drugs from society and appeals to the public to cooperate by sharing information related to drug trafficking and abuse. |
