In this day and age, exams are becoming the focus of life. It’s as if the whole decision of life success and failure has been reduced to a few hours of exams and some score lists. Children, parents and society—All unconsciously assume that exams are the ultimate goal of life. Whereas the truth is that tests are a stage of life, not an entire lifetime. Tests are a means, not an end The purpose of the tests is to assess an individual’s understanding, knowledge and preparation. They can’t measure how sensitive, creative, ethical or human a person is. History has shown that many people who have done great things in life, performed mediocre or failed the tests but achieved extraordinary status by virtue of their confidence, diligence and purpose. Bigger than the numbers is self-understanding Points are just numbers on paper, while life is the name of a multi-faceted experiences. Tests don’t tell how someone behaves in a crisis, how they recover from failure or the depth of their sensitivity to society. The real education is that which enables a person to think, understand and make sound decisions. The rising price of pressure and stress The biggest fallout for making the exams a last resort is—tanao. Excessive expectations, comparisons and fears weaken children psychologically. The purpose of the study is to replace knowledge with marks. As a result creativity, curiosity and the joy of learning are lost. Life tests every day The real tests of life occur outside the exam room—When we have to choose between honesty and profit, when standing up again after failure, when showing compassion towards others. These are tests that have no question paper, but which result in a direction of life. the role of parents and society Parents and teachers have a responsibility to convince children that tests are important, but not paramount. Children should have the opportunity to grow according to their interests, abilities and personality. Valuing collaboration over comparison and self-development over competition is the order of the day. Broad definition of success Successful is not the one who has the most points or degrees, but he who is balanced, sensitive and useful to society. The purpose of life is not just to pass an exam, but to become a better person. conclusion Trials can be milestones in life’s journey, not destinations. When we understand that, then learning becomes a pursuit not a burden. The ultimate goal of life is the development of knowledge, character and humanity—not tests.
