Batote, Feb 8: As part of the ongoing “BHAROSA” and “NASHA MUKT ABHIYAN” initiatives, Police Station Batote organised an awareness programme at Buggu Nallah, Batote, near Guru Ravi Dass Mandir. The programme was conducted by PSI Tania Sharma, along with her team, during which interaction was held with local women of Batote town and its adjoining areas. The participants were sensitised about various laws, rules, and regulations related to crime prevention, with special emphasis on crimes against women. They were also made aware of different government schemes and welfare policies aimed at the protection and empowerment of women and were encouraged to report incidents without fear or hesitation. Simultaneously, awareness was imparted regarding the ill-effects of drug abuse under the Nasha Mukt Abhiyan, highlighting preventive measures, legal consequences of involvement in narcotics, and the importance of community participation in eradicating the menace of drugs. The programme remained interactive and informative, focusing on empowering women with knowledge, confidence, and awareness. |
