Kathua, Feb 10: The inaugural session of a one-week Happiness Program for the teaching faculty was successfully conducted at Government Degree College (GDC) Kathua in collaboration with The Art of Living. The program aims to promote mental well-being, stress management, and holistic development among teachers through scientifically designed breathing techniques, meditation, and interactive sessions. The initiative reflects the college’s commitment towards nurturing a positive and healthy academic environment. The worthy Principal of GDC Kathua Dr. Manohar Lal, while addressing the gathering, highlighted the importance of mental well-being for educators and emphasized that a happy and stress-free teacher is the foundation of a healthy academic ecosystem. The principal appreciated the collaboration with The Art of Living and expressed hope that such initiatives would help faculty members achieve greater balance, positivity, and effectiveness in their professional and personal lives. The inaugural session was conducted by esteemed instructors from the faculty of The Art of Living, namely Shri Yoginder Singh, Dr. Santosh Kumari, and Shri Bhagwati Prasad, who introduced the participants to the core philosophy and benefits of the Happiness Program.
