Jammu, Feb 11: Huge Convention of Kashmiri Pandits was held at Mata Shardha Temple, Bantalab, Jammu, under the able leadership of Moti Lal Malla in which representatives of more than fifty different community organisations participated with full zeal and religious fervor.
The primary objective of this community oriented convention was to constitute an election committee for conducting long pending elections of All Sate Kashmiri Pandit Conference ( ASKPC ) and its Shree Sanatan Dharam Yuva Sabha ( SSDYS ) with the aim of rejuvenating this century-old apex organization of the Kashmiri Pandits.
The convention presided over by Padma Shree Brij Lal Bhat, witnessed active participation of more the 150 eminent community
personalities including political, social activists, scholars and life members of this mother organization.
After detailed discussions, a nine-member election committee was unanimously constituted, headed by Kuldeep Raina with other members as Sharda Nandan Bhat, Ravi Jogi, M. K. Bhat,
Dr. Daleep Pandita, I. K. Raina, Dilip Pandita, Veer Ji Bhat and Bharat Bhushan Raina.
The committee was mandated to conduct free and fair elections in democratic manner before the end of March 2026.
The participants unanimously emphasized that early elections is essential to further strengthen this apex body of Kashmiri Pandits so that the collective voice of the community is effectively heard at Government levels.
While concluding, Moti Lal Malla thanked all the members for their active participation in this event.
